J Plates returns to round off the year with two knock out remixes expertly crafted by established DJ/Producers DJ Koncept (NZ) and Art Cuebik (USA) after a considerable break away having moved to the other side of the globe midway through the year, alongside releasing a steady flow of material throughout the first half of 2021.

Both Producers offer their own unique take on B-side track ‘Be With Me’, taken from the JPDI005 ‘Feels Good / Be With Me’ single released back in June of this year. Like many memorable A/B side releases, the ‘Be With Me (Remixes)’ release offers two contrasting flavors in order to appease a wider range of audience and use cases in the mix, while both retaining elements of the original, which gained praise from the likes of LTJ Bukem and Stunna.

The ‘DJ Koncept Remix’ expands on the original by providing a more modern take; rolling upfront drums underpinned by an array of luscious pads and atmospheres dominate the remix, while a more dominant mid-range bassline weaves in and out of the groove. DJ Koncept’s enthusiasm and support of the original track back in the early stages of the release is captured here, utilising his own benchmark production qualities which shine through with ease.

The flipside ‘Art Cuebik Remix’ steps in with a crafty counter offer of left field Jungle pressure, showcasing the US producer’s talented drum work and arrangement skills. Notably, Art’s synth work pushes the original into unchartered territory, while stripping back elements to the core will comfortably find its place on the dance floor. Art’s early support of previous J Plates material, alongside his own equally impressive releases has cemented himself in providing the latest chapter to the J Plates catalogue.
